From The Rising of the Sun

From The Rising of the Sun

March 16th, 2024

Dear Friend,

A few years ago, I found a small coffee table book, “The Butterfly Effect.”

Read it if you can.

The Butterfly Effect is the theory that the flap of a butterfly’s wings in one place will grow into a typhoon on the other side of the Earth.

At first, the theory was laughed at until it was proven to be true.

The Butterfly Effect

History records endless instances of the butterfly effect, except the butterflies were ordinary humans.

  • Someone rescued a seemingly helpless and insignificant child.
  • That child grew up and sparked something extraordinary in his community.
  • That spark inspired another young person to innovate something that saved a desperate nation.
  • That innovation was a turning point in history and changed the world.

A stroke of a wing created a typhoon for good.

Like a drop creates ripples.

It’s not always good, though.

Sometimes, it triggers a cataclysmic event.

But that’s the beauty and power of the butterfly effect.

A tide of massive destruction can be turned aside with one stroke of a butterfly’s wings.

Like the blink of an eye.

The problem is you need both eyes and both wings.

One ancient wingstroke of destruction is still rippling through our world today.

Stars Falling

Millennia ago, our planet was hit by five massive meteorites.

Four struck land, and one splashed into the ocean.

Ancient civilizations saw them fall and wrote about them.

They believed them to be “gods falling from the sky.”

The idea of gods falling from the sky is usually laughed at or considered a myth.

But meteorites…that could be possible if there were evidence.

Time has a way of erasing evidence, but a drop is all it takes.

Chondrules

A chondrule is a microscopic glass droplet created under the intense heat and pressure of a meteorite’s impact.

They form in a wide circle around the crash site.

The search was more challenging underwater, but chondrules were found.

The impact of the five triggered massive destruction, marking a scorched black line in stratified rock layers worldwide.

Fire and then water.

That catastrophic event had another effect on ancient survivors.

No one could foresee how far it would spread.

Becoming a Star

It was one small idea, but it grew.

  • If gods could fall from the sky, humans could rise to the heavens.
  • Fallen gods and humans could create demigods.
  • Demigods would be born with god-like abilities.
  • They would intervene between gods and humans to declare the will of the gods.
  • Their feats of bravery would make them worthy to become gods.

It sounded good at the time.

One drop created a tidal wave.

One idea created two beliefs about ourselves; that we are either helpless or superhuman.

Self-Helpless

I’ll admit.

I have days when I believe I am helpless.

“If only I had more ___________, then I would be able to help myself.”

What words can you write in that blank?

Education? Finances? Connections?

Is it “more likes?”

That helpless thought is only half of the ancient idea.

The other half is, “I am the master of my own life. I alone can and will help myself.”

After all, doesn’t God help those who help themselves?

No, because He sees the whole truth.

Psalm 10:14 – “But You do see. You notice trouble and grief. You take it into Your own hands. The helpless one abandons himself to You. You help the fatherless.”

Self-help begins with self-awareness.

Butterfly Eyes

Caterpillars only see black and white.

Butterflies have compound eyes that see in color.

You can see in color.

Not long ago, Psalm 19:6  was one of those verses that raised doubts about the Bible.

It says that the sun has an orbit and is moving from one end of the heavens (sky) to the other.

Every school-aged child knew that the Earth orbited around the sun.

Not the other way around.

“That means the Bible is outdated and invalid.”

Wait.

Remember the power of the butterfly effect.

Think before you believe.

Use both eyes.

It is not just what you know but also what you don’t yet know.

“How can we know what we don’t know?”

Based on history, we only form ideas on the information that is available to us.

And God knows that.

So, He moves the stars.

Moving Stars

Jacobus Kapteyn (1851 – 1922) was the first to suggest the existence of Dark Matter.

He was also the first to discover “moving stars.”

A special group of stars is moving, and so are we.

Our sun is currently making a circuit across the Milky Way galaxy, dragging our entire solar system with it.

It would seem that Psalm 19:6 is true after all.

Time and again, Scripture is proven to be a step ahead.

But what is the point of this?

We’re about to find out.

The Rising Star

By God’s design, gaining both halves of the information produces freedom.

Based on what you know about moving stars, read Psalm 19 below.

The Heavens declare the glory of God;

And the firmament shows His handiwork.

Day-to-day utters speech, and night-to-night reveals knowledge.

There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.

Their line has gone out through all the Earth, and their words to the end of the world.

In them, He has set a course for the sun.

It is like a Bridegroom coming out of His chamber,

Rejoicing like a strong man to run its race.

Its rising is from one end of heaven, and its circuit to the other end;

And there is nothing hidden from its heat.

The Law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;

The Testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;

The Statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;

The Commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;

The Fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;

The Judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

More to be desired are they than gold,

Yes, than much fine gold;

Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

Moreover, by them, Your servant is warned,

And in keeping them, there is great reward.

Who can understand his own errors?

Cleanse me from secret faults (beliefs).

Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins (false assumptions);

Let them not have dominion over me.

Then I will be blameless, and I will be innocent of great transgression.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight,

O Lord, my Strength and my Redeemer.”

Not Alone

The heavens, galaxies, stars, and even the darkness are declaring something:

We are not helpless captains of our own fate.

God is our Help.

He is our Strength and our Redeemer.

Both.

Our strength begins with listening.

1 John 4:6 – “We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us (the truth we declare); whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this, we know the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error.”

We are from God.

God speaks by His Spirit, His Scripture, and His Science.

Yes. True scientific evidence belongs to Him.

Separately, they can be misinterpreted and pitted against each other.

Together, they declare the whole truth that we belong to God.

And, the God who is above and in control of it all is for us.

Over The Flood

A deluge of knowledge is flooding the Earth as never before.

God has already granted us ears, eyes, and wings.

We don’t just belong; we are God’s forever.

John 8:34 -36 — Jesus said, “The truth is, everyone who sins is a slave—a slave to sin. A slave does not stay with a Family forever. But a son belongs to the Family forever. So if the Son makes you free, you are really free.”

The Son has set us free to rise with Him!

So, let the stars fall.

Keep both eyes on the skies and do good.

Be a butterfly.

Be a star.

Do that small kindness or that brave act of courage.

You have no idea how far it will go.

You have everything you need.

Believe and begin to experience your freedom.

Malachi 4:2 – But for you who honor My name, the Sun of righteousness will arise with healing in His wings. You will be free and happy, like calves freed from their stalls.”

You are loved.

Believing God,

Monisha
